EDUCATION FOR EMPLOYMENT (PI 26) DISTRICT PLAN

The Fall River Education for Employment program shall include a long-range plan approved by the school board and developed by a team of school district staff and community stakeholders, which may include businesses, post-secondary education institutions, and workforce development organizations.

  • Establish K-7 ACP lessons/activities

  • Reestablish individual ACP conferences at grades 8th, 11th & 12th grades

  • Reestablish job shadow in 11th & 12th grades

  • Reestablish annual CTE advisory board meetings

  • Increase business and industry engagement in classrooms for students and PD for teachers

  • Create individual CTE department web pages

LONG TERM GOALS

  • Engage students in the application of the skills, knowledge, behaviors and expertise necessary to succeed in work and in life in the 21st century

  • Developing self-directed learners who think creatively, work collaboratively with others, and reason conceptually to solve important issues on a global scale

  • ACP process refinement with emphasis on portfolio completion, expanding community and industry connections and broadening parent involvement
